Procedure for participation

1. Registration

‣ You will be informed about offered PTs‣ Registration and ordering is available via the online PT portal‣ The registration phase ends with the registration deadline. All dates are listed in the online PT portal for each PT.

2. Preparation

‣ Your PTs and PT items are prepared‣ The preparation phase ends with the date of the dispatch of PT items.

3. Testing

‣ You will find further instructions on how to conduct the PT in the PT online tool‣ You carry out your measurements
‣ Submit your results in the online PT portal
‣ The testing phase ends with the deadline for submitting the results. By this date, you must enter and confirm your results in the online PT onlineand complete the process.

4. Evaluation

‣ Statistical data analysis‣ Performance evaluation‣ Preparation of reports and certificates‣ Report and certificate provision via the online PT portal

Statistical treatment of data

With regard to statistics, you benefit from our external service provider QuoData GmbH, one of the world's most renowned specialists in statistics for proficiency testing. This ensures that state-of-the methods are used that comply with ISO/IEC 17043 and ISO 13528.As an external service, QuoData GmbH provides the online PT portal PROLab_HUB, which is used not only for data input, but also for statistical evaluation and reporting.‣ Statistical evaluation is compliant with ISO 13528:2022.‣ Before the start of the proficiency test, the statistical methodology to be used is determined and documented.‣ By default, the robust statistical method Q/Hampel is used.‣ In special cases, a conventional statistical method is used.‣ The performance of the laboratories is typically assessed on the basis of z- / z' scores.
